Google updates Snapseed photo editor with new tools, filters, and an undo button

Google is releasing the second version of its popular photo editing app Snapseed today.

The updated app will feature new editing tools like Lens Blur, Tonal Contrast, so-called “intelligent perspective Transform,” and Spot Healing. Google is also allowing filters to be applied more granularly through the brush tool.

Finally, the app is adding a re-edit or undo function through Stacks, so you can revert back to an earlier version of your photo. For reference, Stacks is a tool that lets you see the layers of filters you’ve applied to your photo. You’ll also be able to copy and paste edits from one image to another.

Google first unveiled Snapseed in 2012 after acquiring Nik Software.
