Take-Two Interactive Software announced today that Grand Theft Auto V is shipping on the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 on Nov. 18, with the PC version debuting on Jan. 27.

New York-based Rockstar Games, a division of Take-Two and the developer of the series, said today that it has locked down the retail release dates for the game, which debuted last year on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 video game consoles. Those versions have sold more than 33 million copies and brought in a couple of billion dollars at retail.

The PC version is delayed, but Michael Pachter, analyst at Wedbush Securities, says he is not concerned about the short postponement impacting Take-Two’s financial performance.

Grand Theft Auto V is an open-world shooting and driving game where you follow the interweaving stories of three criminals. The title can be extremely violent, but it often leaves the decision over just how gruesome it is to players.

The new version will feature a range of visual and technical upgrades aimed at making the virtual world of the game more immersive than ever. It has new weapons, vehicles and activities; additional wildlife; denser traffic; a new foliage system; enhanced damage and weather effects, and more.

The new-gen edition also has enhanced music selections, with over 100 additional new songs and new mixes from returning DJs across the game’s 17 radio stations. And, to encourage players to stay hooked on the game online, all players who preorder will receive $1,000,000 in in-game cash to spend across Grand Theft Auto V and Grand Theft Auto Online.

Rockstar is also releasing new content for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions alongside the upgraded release.
