You don’t have to live with the Grand Theft Auto V that Rockstar made for you. We can make it better.

Here’s the first installment in our weekly look into Grand Theft Auto V mods for PC. The community hasn’t delivered a ton yet, but we’ve found a pair of early modifications for this week. One will give you a better view of the world, and the other will turn you into a dumb superhero.

If you’re wondering how to get started installing GTA V mods, please check out our detailed instructions here.

Let’s get to it (and check out the video above if you want a look at the mods in action).

Let’s start with something not exactly enthralling: a field-of-view adjuster. This mod enables you to go into an .ini file and set the FOV in every circumstance to whatever you want. It’s useful if you want to see a really wide angle when you’re driving a car but want to keep things tight when aiming down a gun’s sight.

GTA V Trainer by LinGon

LinGon trainerNow here’s something a bit more exciting … although it’s not exactly a mod. It’s a “trainer,” which is a piece of software that runs alongside the game that you can use to do some crazy stuff.

What kind of crazy stuff, you ask?

Well, how about punching a car so hard that both you and it go flying several hundred feet into the air?

That’s possible with the super-strength setting in LinGon’s trainer. You can also get infinite health and ammo or set the whole world to go into slow motion.

It’s a very good tool if you just like messing around in GTA V.
