We’re revealing today that Sinjin Bain, CEO of Maxplay, will be one of our mystery guest speakers at GamesBeat 2015.

OK, so it’s not much of a mystery anymore. But Bain has an interesting company. And we’ve still got one more mystery speaker coming to our conference.

Bain cofounded Maxplay in 2014. Before that, he was at Electronic Arts for 15 years. He held a wide variety of senior vice president roles, including chief operating officer at Maxis and executive producer of franchises such as The Sims, Rock Band, and The Simpsons. He was vice president and general manager of EA Partners, which became a successful publishing group for independent developers.

Bain developed the strategic plan for EA Partners in 2006 and as helped establish it as a global presence signing major triple-A developers such as Harmonix, Valve, Insomniac, Double Fine, Respawn, Big Huge Game, Crytek, Starbreeze, and many others. Those companies created leading games titles as Rock Band, Portal, Crysis, Orange Box, Titanfall, Brutal Legend, and others.

Prior to joining EA, Bain founded, grew and sold PyroTechnix, an industry-leading real-time 3D platform technology company responsible for the game engine technology used to build such hits as EverQuest, NFL GameDay, and Return to Krondor among others.

And what is Maxplay? Well, sorry. You’ll have to find out at GamesBeat 2015, located at the Grand Hyatt Union Square on October 12 and October 13 in San Francisco. You can sign up for it now. At the moment, we’ll just say that Bain wants to be one of the kings of gaming, and he’s come up with an interesting idea.

Gaming has many kingdoms: mobile, console, PC online, geographic, and more. In each of these powerful realms, companies are fighting to grow fast, to come out on top, and to cross boundaries to rule more than one empire. Playing the competitive game, making alliances, prepping for new platforms like augmented and virtual reality, and surviving the incredibly fast change in gaming right now is more difficult than ever. It’s more complex than the fantasy world of Westeros in HBO’s Game of Thrones … and it’s happening right in front of us all. At GamesBeat 2015, we’ll dissect how these kings and queens are battling for gaming supremacy and growth. We’ll find out who’s leading and how they are winning.

We’re screening our speakers for bold ideas, transparency, global strategies, creativity, and diversity. Our speakers show that gaming has become a global and diverse business with many intricacies and strategies.
