Blizzard wants you to stay up late to play cards tonight.

The free-to-play collectible-card game Hearthstone: Heroes of Warcraft is getting new content late this evening as the publisher dishes out the second episode of its $20 Curse of Naxxramas adventure. Unlike the first episode, The Arachnid Quarter, Blizzard isn’t going to release today’s wing, The Plague Quarter, during the work day. You’ll need to log in around midnight if you want to play through it as soon as possible.

Here’s when the latest Hearthstone content will open around the world, according to a post on Blizzard’s website:

Blizzard released the first episode of Naxxramas for free, but you’re gonna have to pay to get into The Plague Quarter. To purchase this single episode, it’ll cost you $7 or 700 in-game gold. You can also purchase the whole expansion, which includes all five episodes, for $20.

Hearthstone is Blizzard’s first free-to-play game as well as its first mobile game (Hearthstone is on iPad and coming to iPhone and Android). Up until now, the card battler has made its money by charging for booster packs and access to a special arena mode — although players can still access both with in-game gold. This makes Naxxramas something of an experiment for Blizzard, which is probably trying to see what works. If players respond well to Naxxramas and continue buying each episode, then we can probably expect more adventures, expansions, and other add-ons in the future.
