You can throw around lots of stats about online gaming personality PewDiePie to make a case for how big of a celebrity he has become. For example, he has 31.4 million subscribers on YouTube — darn impressive.
But sometimes a visual helps.
During his keynote address at the MIPCOM conference, Maker Studio showed this video of mega-gaming star PewDiePie (real name: Felix Arvid Ulf Kjellberg) getting a, well, more than warm welcome on a visit to Singapore. It seems almost Beatles-esque, in fact. Something the YouTube generation may appreciate, even if it makes their parents queasy.
