How to live-stream Facebook and Fox’s GOP shouting match tonight

LOL

Tonight, Fox News and Facebook are cohosting the first of many debates among the political candidates for the Republican Party presidential nomination and, thankfully, you can stream it online.

Update: If you’re experiencing trouble streaming, try Periscope.

Given that half of Fox’s audience is literally old enough to have attended segregated schools, you might not expect to find a live-stream. As it is, the streaming rules are a bit complicated: According to Fox, the stream requires a cable subscription to watch live, but some real-time clips will apparently be available for everyone here during the debate. For everyone else, the full stream will be available online on Friday.

With only 1.25 short years until election day, Republican candidates are scrambling to stand out from the competition. Who is the loudest molestation apologist? Who can spend the most taxpayer money on hot dogs? Who thinks forced ultrasounds are “a cool thing out there“? What is a “John Kasich“?

To get to the bottom of these pressing questions, the network is hosting two distinct shouting matches at the Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland, Ohio.

The first, starting at 5 p.m. Eastern, is a free-for-all, melée-style match for the seven jokers who didn’t make the cut for the main event. These candidates include BuzzFeed’s Crossfit buddy, an Urban Dictionary entry, and, um, a third one that I can’t remember.

Then things really start to heat up. A Sharper Image meat jockey, two definitely Latino guys, a definitely not-Latino guy, and a former pediatric neurosurgeon (??) will square off against six white guys indistinguishable by either their haircuts or their politics.

You can also dive into the fray via the Fox News comments, as they will be lobbing viewer-submitted questions at the candidates.

It’s so hard to pick a favorite:

Not sure if the candidates will address your Roku problem, shaleen23, but I’ll update this story if a stream becomes available.
