If you enjoy jail-breaking and hacking your mobile phone so it isn’t running preloaded software, HTC is making your life a tiny bit easier.

Today during its big reveal livestream from New York, HTC officially announced the HTC One A9 phone and a special “unlocked edition” version of the product line.

This phone comes with an unlocked bootloader without voiding the device’s warranty. The bootloader essentially is what keeps users from accessing lower level software options and manipulating the device however they want, including in ways the manufacturer may not have intended. The product will also come with fewer preinstalled chunks of software; exactly what HTC is cutting out isn’t known at this time, though we have asked.

All HTC One A9s will ship with the latest version of Android Marshmallow. HTC is also claiming that users will receive Android updates pushed by Google for Nexus within a 15-day window.

The HTC One A9 is also being sold under what the company is calling an “uh oh” 12-month warranty policy, where they are willing to replace the product for any reason, for free, with no deductible. HTC will also implement a 30-day trial period for the HTC One A9, which means if the phone isn’t satisfactory, it can be sent back to HTC for a full refund.

The HTC One A9 is available for preorder off of HTC’s website now, and it should be available globally the first week of November.
