Today, at the 2015 International Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, Indiegogo launched InDemand, a feature that enables successful crowdfunding campaigners to continue selling “perks” (pre-orders of whatever they’re raising cash to build) after their project’s time is up.

Indiegogo says its new feature extends crowdfunding campaigns so creators can take advantage of their project’s momentum with additional pre-sales. And so far, Indiegogo claims, the feature has already generated “millions of dollars” for a handful of projects like Geek Audio, Bluesmart, and Airtame.

Ultimately, this feature makes sure creators and their customers spend as much time on Indiegogo as possible. It also opens the door for Indiegogo to transform from crowdfunding site to online store, paving the way toward additional revenue sources for the company.

Indiegogo says its InDemand feature is available starting today for all successful projects.
