A number of companies have launched new or improved iPhone apps in the last day or so in the hope of benefiting from the hype around the launch of the iPhone 4, not to mention the new version of Apple’s iOS operating system released earlier this week.
We covered a few launches, like FarmVille on the iPhone, but for the most part we ignored the app releases. That doesn’t mean the new apps aren’t worth checking out. Here are the notable apps I’ve seen:
- Bing — Okay, this first one is a mobile website, not a downloadable app. But Microsoft did relaunch its search site today to make it prettier and more app-like.
- GetGlue — The social service for sharing what you’re reading and watching with your friends went mobile today. It also introduced a new sticker program, where users can decorate their profile with the rewards they get for sharing. Wired, which is one of the sticker partners, has more details. (iTunes link)
- Revision3 — Now you can watch Internet TV shows like Diggnation and Tekzilla on your iPhone. (iTunes link)
- I Am T-Pain — The auto-tuning hit from musical app startup Smule lets users record themselves with the iPhone’s new front-facing camera. (iTunes link)
However, my favorite new app is one that we’ve already covered — the DC Comics reader for the iPhone and iPad.
