Following the “#bendgate” pile-on earlier this week, Apple has come forward with an interesting claim: Only nine users have complained to them about bent iPhones, according to CNBC.

Although there’s no way to independently verify Apple’s claim, some users have taken to Twitter to challenge it. In addition, it’s unclear if all users affected by the reportedly feeble construction of the iPhone 6 Plus have reported their problems to Apple.

In the meantime, we prefer the hashtag #Bendghazi.
