Someone warn the elves: Shyp is vying for a spot at the North Pole. The on-demand packaging and shipping service is rolling out gift wrapping for the holiday season.
Shyp enables users to ship anything they want right from their phones. Open the app, snap a photo, and schedule for pickup — that’s it. One of Shyp’s heroes will arrive at your door, take your shippable item off your hands, and handle the rest. Now, in addition to boxing your goods up, the company will wrap it in fancy gift paper. And, for the design-savvy, Shyp has teamed up with DIY site Brit + Co on two wrapping paper designs.
Shyp says that to make sure your gifts reach their designation on Christmas, they must be scheduled for pickup by Dec. 23 at 2 p.m. The service costs $5 a gift, so those of you who hate wrapping gifts as much as I do can catch a break.
