Enterprise chatbot maker Kore announced that it’s making its own enterprise bot-making platform today at MobileBeat, a two-day gathering of artificial intelligence and chatbot leaders being held at The Village in San Francisco. The news was shared onstage by Kore global head of solution management Amit Aghara.
Users can chat with Kore-built bots via text, email, Facebook, Slack, or Kore’s messaging platform, within a company website or a mobile app. Communication on any channel automatically updates the others. Kore makes more than 130 bots that file expenses, track sales, manage projects, and connect to dozens of cloud storage and software programs.
In the coming months Kore will add access to more chat channels like Yammer and Line, but also Cortana, Siri and Alexa, Aghara said.
Kore also debuted its personal assistant bot Kora, a bot that speaks to other bots. Kora can complete more than 800 tasks across 130 software systems, including Salesforce, Box, and MailChimp.

“A Salesforce bot is an example of an individual bot, but Kora will be the universal bot. So I can say, ‘hey, create a lead for me’; it will recognize that and create a lead as a function of my CRM bot, which is Salesforce, and it will go create a lead,” Aghara said.
There are dozens of bot-building platforms available today, and several companies in the enterprise chat space.
Kore decided to build yet another one because the company works with large companies to make internal-facing and external-facing bots “and they need a platform because they’re inevitably going to customize it.”
“So while we have a bot store that has bots you can take advantage of, but they’ve always customized their back end. So they need a platform to then be able to tinker around with our bots and customize them and make it their own, basically,” he said.
