With all the buzz surrounding the release of iOS 8, Apple would like you to know it hasn’t forgotten about its Apple TV set-top box.

Today the company rolled out a relatively important update for the Apple TV that finally includes a native app for Apple-owned on-demand music service Beat Music. It’s a bit surprising it took this long to get a Beats app available on the device, considering that Apple purchased Beats way back in May. (Then again, Apple has a history for moving at a snail’s pace when it comes to the Apple TV.)

Also new in the update is a few notable design tweaks. The biggest change comes to the color of apps like Music, TV Shows, and others that now match their counterparts on other Apple devices running iOS 8. The company also updated the font used for descriptions.

The new update also brings support for many iOS 8 (and OS X Yosemite) features, such as accessing iCloud photos and the new “Family Sharing” feature that lets you share digital media from iTunes with up to six other accounts.
