Watch out Motorola, LG’s round smartwatch is here.
The company just revealed new details about its round-faced smart watch, the G Watch R, and announced that it will show off the device next week at the IFA 2014 tech conference in Berlin.

This new iteration is very similar to its predecessor, but more handsome. The water resistant watch is powered by Android Wear with a 1.2GHz Snapdragon 400 processor, 4GB of storage, and 512MB of RAM. One of the main differences is the 1.3 inch plastic OLED display. It’s also adding a heart rate monitor (which we noted was lacking in the original G Watch).
But really, this all about style and, hopefully, interactivity. The new watch has a stainless steel frame, a calfskin leather strap, and a round face — not unlike its competitor the Moto 360.

“Wearables are also accessories, and consumers will want more than one to choose from. So we wanted to complement the modern design of the original G Watch with the classic look of the G Watch R,” said LG CEO Jong-seok Park in a statement.
