It’s all over, but for the massive cleanup to remove all that Playa dust from cars, clothes, and the deepest crevices of the human body. But the annual Burning Man festival in Black Rock City conjured up its usual menagerie of fantastic structures, eye-popping costumes, and decadence.
The news, such as it was this year, was that a group vandalized one of the major rave camps, White Ocean. The camp hosts famous DJs each year in style, and apparently some renegade Burners felt it violated the spirit of the event.

Increasingly, for better and for worse, the temporary residents of Burning Man are connected to the internet, which means the rest of us get no shortage of images, updates, and livestreams from the desert.
