Lyft is making it simpler for riders who use the ride service for work to expense the cost. The company today launched its version of business profiles to help distinguish whether a ride is for work-related travel or for pleasure. Lyft’s system has also been integrated with Concur so that expensing trips can be done automatically, which translates to less paperwork.
The business profile is an extension of Lyft’s mobility service offering, which is available for organizations that need customized solutions for getting from meeting to meeting or wherever they need to go. You don’t need to be signed up for mobility services to use a business profile, though. You just have to visit Lyft’s business page, enter in your work email, log into your Lyft account, select the default payment method for your business profile, and you’re done.

A January study by travel and expense reporting software Certify showed that Lyft has seen its popularity among corporate travel increase in 2015, with an annual growth rate of 712 percent. There’s clearly a market here, and Lyft doesn’t want to give anything away to Uber, which has long had business profiles.
