Today, in addition to rolling out a glowy new ‘stache, Lyft is airing the results of a 6,000 person-strong survey of its ridesharing service.

There aren’t any earth-shattering revelations among these numbers, so we picked out a few stats we thought were fun.

  • 57 percent of people would ride with a stranger if it was convenient.
  • Nearly a tenth of users would share a ride in the hopes of kicking off a romance.
  • Lyft drivers are creative. More than half of L.A. Lyft drivers are artists, while 44% percent of drivers in San Francisco work in a creative profession.
  • Lyft men would rather drive around Jennifer Lawrence than Taylor Swift.
  • On music preferences, drivers and riders like rock the most. Top 40, country, talk radio, and R&B slink behind.
  • Shockingly, 88 percent of people surveyed hate their commute.

In other news, Uber also released a study today — albeit a more serious one: Apparently ridesharing helped prevent “nearly 1,800 [drunk driving-related] crashes in California … since July 2012.”
