Over the weekend, Microsoft crossed the 1 million registrant mark for its Windows Insider program, Microsoft VP Joe Belfiore announced in a blog post today.

“That equates to a lot of people using the Windows 10 Technical Preview and sending us feedback,” Belfiore wrote. “How much feedback? Over 200,000 pieces of user-initiated feedback have been submitted to us via the Windows Feedback app from Windows Insiders like you.”

To be clear, Microsoft isn’t saying that 1 million people have downloaded Windows 10, but “a lot” of the 1 million registrants have apparently done so already.

Microsoft shares that 36 percent of participants are trying out the Windows 10 Technical Preview via virtual machines; the rest are doing so on personal computers, Belfiore wrote.
