Mobileys innovation challenge announces winners

This sponsored post is produced by Mobile Future.

Mobile Future has just announced the winners in its second annual mobile innovation competition, The Mobileys. To celebrate and support the many ways in which mobile technology is making the world a better place, Mobile Future challenged innovators across the nation to submit their game-changing mobile apps, products and services for the chance to win up to $10,000 in prize money.

The Mobileys winners exemplify what it means to harness mobile technology for positive social change. The Grand Prize Winner, Code Blue, is a pioneering mobile support system that helps young people experiencing depression or bullying get immediate help. Serving as a ‘panic button’ for teens in urgent need of support, Code Blue demonstrates how mobile connectivity can be used to creatively tackle some of the toughest challenges facing us today.

San Francisco-based First Derm appealed to the judging panel as well as the public, as the recipient of both the Second Place Award and the People’s Choice Award. First Derm increases the accessibility of professional dermatological advice by providing a faster, more convenient means to receive a professional opinion on skin care.

Taking the Third Place Prize is Volunteer Mark, a convenient and accessible mobile platform that facilitates communication, scheduling and reporting between organizations and their volunteers. It empowers volunteers to find the perfect opportunities based on skills, interests, availabilities and location, while helping organizations more efficiently deliver volunteer programs.

The Mobileys winners will accept their awards in Washington D.C. in December. Now it’s time to see how our winners put this additional capital to use to help build and grow their mobile products.
