Eyeballs are moving to the mobile web faster than ever these days, and mobile content management platform Moovweb plans to help out clients by making sure their message is optimized on mobile devices.

The startup has also raised $16 million to improve its technology and grow the business. Moovweb’s service ports a desktop website’s existing content, features, and business logic without the need for costly recoding. The result is that Moovweb’s clients get to take a shortcut of sorts to get situated with mobile services. The company said it’s transformed nearly 12 billion mobile pages, apps, and services for a number of high-profile clients, including Macy’s, 1-800-FLOWERS.com, and Fairmont Hotels.

“The post-PC world is here; it’s all around us. Companies in all industries need a fundamentally better way to deliver amazing post-PC experiences to their customers and employees without all the headaches and expense of old approaches,” Moovweb founder and CEO Ajay Kapur told VentureBeat.
