MZ, the mobile game company formerly known as Machine Zone, recently launched a new real-time cloud platform that it built for its Game of War: Fire Age and Mobile Strike games. Now the company is licensing that platform out to others who need instant mobile cloud communication, and today it hired a new executive to run that platform.

Nasi Jazayeri, former executive vice president of Salesforce Community, has been appointed president of the platform for MZ’s real-time cloud technology.

“Nasi’s accomplishments turning cloud platforms into successful businesses make him an ideal fit for MZ as we establish RTplatform as the industry standard for real time applications across IoT, Bots and Enterprises,” said MZ founder and CEO Gabe Leydon, in a statement. “His reputation as an industry leader in product development, marketing, and sales is unmatched, and he will be a tremendous asset to MZ as we build a global technology business.”

Leydon announced the real-time cloud technology platform at our Mobile Summit event last month.

Palo Alto, Calif.-based MZ plans to license the technology to other companies who need to build real-time communications platforms that are responsive and able to deal with huge numbers of simultaneous communications. The appointment of Jazayeri, a 30-year industry veteran in the customer relationship management and enterprise markets, shows MZ is serious about taking the technology beyond games.

“The next decade of the internet is defined by engaging in real time, everyone and everything. MZ is at the forefront of this transformation with a technology that offers unparalleled speed, scale and reliability,” said Jazayeri, in a statement. “I am thrilled to join the team as we work to make the internet of tomorrow possible today.”
