No one has ever called publisher Electronic Arts’ Star Wars: Battlefront shooter scruffy-looking, but many have accused it of needing a nerf or two.
EA and developer Dice have heard those criticisms, and they are updating the game with a number of new improvements and tweaks to ensure everyone has a better experience. The update is rolling out now for gamers on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.

This trickle of free content should set the stage for the first paid downloadable add-on, which we still haven’t heard much about.
But while we wait for those bigger expansions, here’s everything that is different in Star Wars: Battlefront.

Additions:
- Tatooine Survival map gets multiplayer
- Hoth skin for Luke Skywalker

Tweaks:
- Millennium Falcon and Slave I get 30 percent health boost
- Homing shot now takes 1.5 seconds to lock on instead of 0.4 seconds
- Homing shot is also slower and has less range
- EE–3 and SE-14C Explosive Shots damage decreased.
- Bowcaster damage decreased
- ION torpedo lock-on range decreased
- Spawn-killing turbolaser removed from Sullust map
- More spawn points on all major maps.
