Netflix confirmed today that it’s now available in 130 new countries, including India, Russia, Poland, Saudi Arabia, Vietnam, Nigeria, Singapore, Turkey, Indonesia, and South Korea. Prior to today, Netflix was available in 60 countries.
In other words, the service is now available just about everywhere on Earth, aside from China, North Korea, Syria, and Crimea.

The massive expansion serves as a counter to Netflix’s recent sluggish growth in the U.S.
Although this is a big move for Netflix, CEO Reed Hastings specifically pointed out the company’s ambitions to launch in China, where roughly 20 percent of the world’s population resides. Hastings said last year that he hopes to bring Netflix to every country by 2016.
