The new Kindle Fire is coming out on September 6, and we’ve just gotten a small clue about what may be in store for Amazon’s wildly successful e-reader lineup.

Our esteemed brethren and sistren over at The Verge have just been sent a fascinating photo, allegedly an image of the new Kindle Fire.

It seems to show a different screen size, as well as (relatively minor detail) a new virtual keyboard UI:

The new Kindle Fire is set to make its debut in about one week’s time, and most sources are speculating that a new 10-inch model is in the works.

In preparation for the launch, Amazon cut prices on some of its more outdated Kindle stock, and as of this morning, the company had completely sold out of Kindle units.
