It’s only a paper game.
Nintendo announced Paper Mario: Color Splash for the Wii U today. Mario is Nintendo’s biggest star, and any new game featuring the plumber is a big deal. The Mario franchise has sold over 210 million copies.
This is the first Mario role-playing game to come out for consoles since Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door for the GameCube in 2004 (the 2007 Wii spin-off Super Paper Mario was more of a platformer). Since then, the series has gone portable with titles like Sticker Star, which disappointed many fans by ditching series’ staples like experience points and partners. However, an email from Nintendo called Color Splash an action-adventure game, so it looks like it won’t be a traditional role-playing game.

We don’t too much about Color Splash, but paint and colors (duh) will play a big part. It will come out sometime in 2016.
