GoCoin, based in Singapore, has sealed its first institutional funding deal: A $1.5 million round led by Bitcoin Shop and former Facebook COO Owen Van Natta with participation from Crypto Currency Partners.
GoCoin is an international virtual currency platform that helps merchants around the world to accept all kinds of cryptocurrency (Bitcoin, Dogecoin, Litecoin, etc.). GoCoin is, the company said in a statement, “designed to be currency-agnostic.”
The fresh cash will be used to hire engineers and sales staff.
“User demand continues to grow for alternative payments,” said Van Natta in the same release.
