Microsoft today announced that it’s enhancing the Outlook app for iOS and Android with the ability to flesh out your calendar with to-do items from Microsoft-owned Wunderlist, events from Facebook, and notes from Evernote.

The addition is coming by way of an Outlook feature called Calendar Apps. You can access it by swiping right from the left edge of the screen in Outlook’s calendar mode. And you can make this more granular by only turning on specific to-do lists and assigning colors to them for the Outlook calendar view.

This beefing up of Outlook follows Microsoft’s acquisition in 2014 of mobile email and calendar app Acompli, as well as the company’s 2015 acquisition of calendar app Sunrise.

“Those of you who use and love Sunrise will be familiar with this capability,” the Outlook team wrote in a blog post. “Since the Sunrise team joined Outlook, we’ve been hard at work bringing all the goodness and extra features from their app directly into our calendar to give you a single, powerful app for managing your personal and professional life.”

With Wunderlist — which Microsoft bought last year — to-do items with a due date appear in Outlook’s All Day section, and you can easily get a deep link into a specific item in the Wunderlist app from Outlook. Likewise, you can go from a Facebook event in Outlook back into Facebook to do more with that particular event.
