Pandora announced that it’s shuffling its executive team today, which will see long-time chief technical officer and EVP of product Tom Conrad stepping down later this year.

Conrad first started with Pandora back in 2004, just before the company launched an online radio service that uses algorithms and listening behavior to determine which songs play on custom stations. Conrad will continue full-time for the next three months and then shift to a part-time role advising Pandora’s leadership team.

Following Conrad’s departure, Pandora will promote Chris Martin from VP of engineering to CTO and promoting Steve Ginsberg to chief information officer. Pandora has also created a new chief product officer role that hasn’t yet been filled.

“I’m excited to promote two top technology leaders to these important positions. Both have established impressive track records leading Pandora’s strong team of technologists,” said Pandora CEO Brian McAndrews in a statement. “It’s great to have the bench strength to promote internally, which provides new opportunities for proven leaders and maintains the continuity of business priorities.”
