If you already own PlayStation Move controllers and the PlayStation 4 camera, Sony is still giving you an option to order its upcoming virtual reality headset.
On March 29 at 7 a.m. Pacific time, preorders will go up for the PlayStation VR core package, which is the $400 version that does not come with anything but the headset and its cables. Sony had previously only made the $500 Launch Bundle available. That comes with the camera and two motion controllers, and it goes on sale at 7 a.m. tomorrow. Now, most PlayStation 4 owners have an easy option to preorder their entry into the VR space, which tech adviser Digi-Capital predicts could generate $30 billion in spending by 2020.

“Thanks to everyone for sharing their feedback on PlayStation VR preorders,” he wrote. “It’s clear that there’s a lot of interest from many of you to secure the PlayStation VR core system, and I’m happy to share that we’ve decided to make it available for preorder.”

Sony made a big deal about this core version during last week’s Game Developers Conference. The company revealed the PSVR was only $400 compared to competitors like the $600 Oculus Rift and $800 HTC Vive. But Sony quickly started pushing the Launch Bundle over the core when it came time to start actually selling the device. This makes sense because most PS4 owners likely do not own a the camera, which is a requirement for PSVR to function.
