Niantic’s smash dominated the news after its release over the summer, and it was the fastest mobile game ever to reach $500 million in revenues. It has 500 million unique players in total. These are huge numbers in a $36.6 billion mobile gaming market that had seen little movement at the top between games such as Clash of Clans, Candy Crush Saga, Game of War, and Mobile Strike.
