Obviously, Robert Henker, CEO of Cashboard, said the right things in his pitch on the big stage of the NOAH Conference in London. Henker prevailed against international competitors at the SevenVentures Pitch Day at the conference and won four million euros worth of advertising time on the TV stations of ProSiebenSat.1., Germany’s largest television network (a network that reaches 100 million people). Four million euros to advertise his brand in Germany and beyond. Four million euros to make a big leap forward.

25,000 EUR in funding +

Cashboard is one of 26 companies to have participated in the ProSiebenSat.1 Accelerator over the last two years. Only 2% of applicants are selected for this support program, which is one of the leading programs of its kind in Europe. The teams that make it to the final eight in each category obtain numerous benefits. Besides office space in Berlin and Munich, an international network, and coaching in all business-relevant areas, the winning companies receive start-up funding of EUR 25,000 each. These prizes create prime conditions for growing their businesses as quickly as possible and for implementing their business ideas with the kind of professional polish necessary for success.

Looking for both B2C and B2B startups

Interested start-ups have until January 30 to apply for the next round of the ProSiebenSat.1 Accelerator. The contest is not restricted to a certain topic area. “We cast a very wide net on purpose, because startups can benefit from this program in many different ways,” said Dr. Jens Pippig, CEO of the ProSiebenSat.1 Accelerator. “Obviously, B2C is a very exciting area for us. That includes e-commerce projects, video, gaming, and mobile, for example. But we also provide excellent support to B2B start-ups, including in the areas of advertising and data analytics.”

To give closer attention to these areas, two spots have been created in the Accelerator “LaunchpAD”. Complementing the Accelerator program advantages, “LaunchpAD” is aimed at startups developing products in the areas of advertising and data analytics, providing them with the expertise of two subsidiaries. These two subsidiaries are the Group’s marketing unit SevenOne Media and ProSiebenSat.1 Digital. After the program concludes, these two subsidiaries will help the winning teams conduct their first pilot projects.

The 20 best startups pitch to make it to the final 8

From the numerous applications received, the 20 best startup teams will be selected to pitch their business ideas to Accelerator CEO Jens Pippig and his team on Pitch Day. From this group, up to 8 start-ups will be selected for the program. For three months, they will be provided with optimal infrastructure consisting of office space in Berlin and Munich, access to the entire network of the media group, and hundreds of coaching and mentoring sessions. Jens Pippig explains the chief prerequisite for applicants: “In terms of market readiness, the applicants should have a finished prototype or a functioning product that is already in the market.”

January 30th is the deadline for the PropSiebenSat.1 Accelerator — apply here.
