Quora today announced the launch of its first iPad app and revealed that the number of answers written by users has tripled in the last eight months.

Quora’s head of business operations, Marc Bodnick, describes the company’s new iPad app as “the best reading experience for Quora.” Built into the new app is Quora’s newly redesigned rich text editor, which includes a custom keyboard to make the iPad writing experience less painful.

In the next 12 months, Quora predicts that its user-base will answer more user-submitted questions than it has in the previous 4.5 years combined. In other words, Quora wants to make it clear that its service is not stagnating. After raising $80 million and joining Y Combinator earlier this year, the service is apparently growing faster than ever.
