Xbox Live and Steam are becoming a little closer thanks to a bunch of soccer-playing cars.

Starting today at 3 p.m. Pacific, Rocket League players on Xbox One and the PC version on Valve’s digital games platform can compete with each other online. Developer Pysonix noted that it is the first Xbox One game to have cross-network play with Steam. The company also noted that over 2 million players have competed in the Xbox One version of the sports-based car game since it launched on that platform in February.

“It’s an historic moment for us here at Psyonix, and we’re really excited to bring Xbox One and Steam PC players closer together,” Psyonix notes on its site. “Cross-network play has been something that Xbox One gamers have been asking us for since the day we launched, and thanks to Microsoft’s new cross-network policies, we’re proud to give it to them.”

The PlayStation 4 version can already play with Steam users. However, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One players can not compete against each other.
