“Touch-A, Touch-A, Touch-Me.” If you know those lyrics, you may be a fan of The Rocky Horror Picture Show, and you’ll be delighted to know that a mobile game will soon come out called The Rocky Horror Show Touch Me.

Industry veterans Oscar Clark and Ella Romano are announcing the first game from their new studio Rocket Lolly in London. They’re banking that generations of fans will give the game a try out of nostalgia. The Richard O’Brien film starring Tim Curry and Susan Sarandon came out way back in 1973, and it became a cult classic for audiences that performed the movie while dressed up as the characters. It was campy satire that poked fun at B-grade horror films.

They announced the game at the Casual Connect event in Amsterdam today. Richard O’Brien’s The Rocky Horror Show Touch Me (named after the original play, rather than the movie) is scheduled to come out in 2017. The title is a riff on one of the show’s raunchy songs, Touch-A, Touch-A, Touch Me. It’s a touchscreen game for tablet and mobile platforms. The uses the experience of being a theater member, and the designers are consulting with die-hard fans.

The Rocky Horror Picture Show is now embedded in popular culture, as it is still showing in theaters around the world.

“Ella and I formed Rocket Lolly Games in order to bring this fantastic IP to market, which being fans ourselves we believe we can do with the care it deserves,” said Clark, director and cofounder of Rocket Lolly Games, in a statement. “Many great brands are cross-generational, but few capture the collective imagination like The Rocky Horror Picture Show, which has managed to be gently outrageous since the ’70s; it is as relevant today as it was when it first launched.

“Rocky is about the outsider to whom we all relate. It’s a story about coming of age and diversity; a welcoming and joyous experience which, as Rocky fans ourselves, it is an absolute pleasure to be entrusted. It’s our hope to show what a small studio can do to expand a brand such special as this into games.”

“I have worked with Richard O’Brien on The Rocky Horror Show since it all began. Rocky has been realized as a theatre show, a film, and a game before. However, now is the perfect time for it to be reimagined in a way that could only exist on our phones and tablets,” said Andy Leighton, director of Druidcrest, and music publisher of The Rocky Horror Show, in a statement. “Ella and Oscar’s passion for this project makes them the perfect people to bring the experience to a new audience, as well as to those who already love the show.”
