Runtastic today relaunched its self-titled fitness app after passing 70 million downloads across all of its apps.
The new Runtastic app features a complete redesign, bringing it more in-line with Apple’s iOS 7 aesthetic. The app’s last iteration was starting to look ancient [pictured here].
As far as new features go, Runtastic has made two of its paid features — a music player and a live tracking option — free. This creates new competition for rival app Runkeeper, which currently charges for features like live run tracking for races.
Other key changes include a new hydration feature, which the company claims “takes into account users’ activity details, personal stats, local weather conditions, and more to provide a post-activity hydration suggestion.”
