Samsung revealed that its wearable health devices now reach 150 million users across 130 countries.

Ricky Choi, head of medical devices for Samsung Health, told the audience of 4,000 at the Samsung Developer Conference in San Francisco that the company is continuing to promote its platform for creating wearables, devices, and apps to make health tracking easier on smartphones.

“We want users to feel empowered to make a healthier choice,” Choi said. “We all know bad habits are really hard to break. With Samsung Health, healthy habits get a lot easier.”

The South Korean electronics giant has teamed up with companies to provide “telehealth” to users anytime, anywhere. It is using wearable data from people with chronic diseases to create actionable insights for caregivers and deliver a “360-degree view of the user,” Choi said.
