Samsung announced a new feature for its washing machines that will address something that annoys all of us. You start the washer, but find a sock. If the drum is already filling up with water, it may be too late to add it. (At least for a front-loading washer).

But never fear. Samsung has come up with Add Wash. With it, you can now stop the washing machine, add the sock, and then start it up again.

Who says technology isn’t useful? Samsung made the announcement at a press event at the 2016 International CES, the big tech trade show this week in Las Vegas.

All snark aside, washers and dryers are a big point of innovation at CES. Marathon Laundry has created a machine that can both wash and dry in the same drum. It is also connected to the Internet.
