Investment money continues to flow into companies that are providing a technology link between caregivers and sick patients.
Self Care Catalysts, a new patient informatics, intelligence, and self care solution provider, today announced it has raised $2 million in seed funding.

The new money will be used to fund further development of the “Health Storylines” mobile and web-based patient intelligence, analytics, and self care platform. The platform is used by pharmaceutical companies, health plans, and providers to engage and learn from patients dealing with disease.

Self Care Catalysts also has an enterprise data and behavior analytics platform that it calls “Patient Storylines.” The company says that, using the platform, patients can tell their own stories, tap into insight and daily guidance, and connect to their circle of support.
Self Care Catalysts has raised a total of $2.7 million to date since it pivoted from a patient research company to healthcare informatics.
The company has offices in Toronto, Canada and San Francisco, California. It’s supported by Springboard Enterprises, the Rick Hansen Institute, and Community Matters Toronto.
