Sony starts full restoration of PlayStation Network in West

Sony has begun to fully restore the PlayStation Network, bringing back all services for U.S. and European game users after a long nightmare that began with a hacker attack in late April.

As of today, the company is bringing back the PlayStation Store in the Americas, Europe, and parts of Asia. The store and some other services are still down in Japan, Hong Kong and South Korea. Those territories will be restored at a later time.

Besides the PSN, which has 77 million registered users, Sony is also bringing back Music Unlimited powered by Qriocity. Sony has now released a bunch of new content on the PlayStation Store, since a lot of planned game releases had to be delayed during the long outage. The company has a bunch of content launching, including content related to Socom 4: US Navy SEALs, Sonic the Hedgehog, Killzone 3, Motorstorm Apocalypse, Resident Evil 5, Streetfighter 2 and a bunch of other titles. There are also 10 new downloadable games and a bunch of game demos.
