Today Spotify announced a handful of features designed specifically for runners. Most interestingly, Spotify says it has created tracks that adjust and change tempo based on your running pace.
According to Spotify, this isn’t “simple beat stretching.” Speaking on stage at a press conference in New York, cofounder Daniel Ek described a music format “where the composition itself seems to magically rearrange to fit your current pace.”

“Today we’re thrilled to announce a new partnership with Nike that will bring new music experiences to their users … starting this summer,” said Ek.
