Square launches Dashboard app, for analytics on the go

Square is launching a new mobile app called Dashboard, so business owners can stay on top of sales while they’re away from the shop.

This is just the latest product from Square aimed at capturing the small and medium-sized business market.

The app is a mobile extension of its analytics platform, which provides business owners with access to a summary of sales, comparisons between current sales and past, as well as a list of best-selling items. Managers will also be able to check on multiple stores within the app.

Getting analytics on the go is important to business managers and owners, but it’s not innovative. Already other software companies like Salesforce and Tableau offer real-time sales analytics on mobile. Square’s latest product launch is focused on keeping up with what’s already out there and making its small business product offering more comprehensive.
