This year, the wearable jewelry makers are showing up in force at the 2015 International CES, the big tech trade show in Las Vegas. Stellé Audio is showing off a unique design for its wearable tech accessory, the Stellé Audio Earbud Locket.
It’s another device at the intersection of fashion, music, design, and technology. It consists of a stylish necklace with Bluetooth earbuds. You can wear it at a fancy affair or put the earbuds inside a jeweled locket.
You can use the earbuds, which are connected by a wire to each other, to listen to music wirelessly via the Bluetooth connection or to listen to your phone calls. The locket, which hangs on a wire, has the controls for the audio, allowing you to answer calls with the touch of a button or control the volume. The necklace has two chrome chains, and the inner chain is connected to the earbuds that are stored inside the locket.
Stellé Audio is aiming the device at multitasking women who are always on the go. The company hopes the octagonal crystal jewel catches the eye of people who care about craftsmanship and chic design. It comes in two colors: Midnight, a luminous onyx, and Seabreeze, an aquamarine blue. The device has a built-in microphone, 6 millimeter drivers for good sound quality, digital signal processing and custom EQ settings, and a built-in rechargeable lithium-ion battery with 10 hours of playback time.

“The Earbud Locket is a first of its kind and combines beautiful design, premium sound, and easy to use functionality for women. The earbuds are made specifically for women and give them the freedom to enjoy their favorite music and chat with friends without compromising style,” Anna Perelman, CEO and cofounder of Stellé Audio, said in a statement.
The company says that studies show people listen to four hours of music a day, and a third of premium headphone buyers are under 25. The device will sell early this year for $200.
Stellé Audio was founded in 2012 in Newport Beach, Calif., by husband and wife team Anna Perelman and Wayne Ludlum.
