Task management app Trello now boasts 8M users

While team communication app Slack keeps getting attention and funding, task management app Trello continues to gain traction, too. Today Trello cofounder Joel Spolsky tweeted out that Trello has passed the 8 million user mark.

Slack, meanwhile, last week disclosed that it has 750,000 daily active users.

Slack and Trello aren’t competitors, but they do both aim to make parts of work — communication and task management, respectively — more approachable and tolerable. Trello, for its part, has several competitors, including Asana and Wrike.

Spolsky’s announcement comes just a couple of months after Trello announced through TechCrunch that it had 7 million users.

In other Trello news, this week the company shipped its Apple Watch app.
