TestFlight has doubled down on its testing policy to let iOS and tvOS developers invite more users to participate in the beta app testing stage. The service now permits up to 2,000 users in the program for 60 days, a marked upgrade from the previous offering of up to 1,000 users for 30 days.

We can only speculate as to why TestFlight has expanded its rules to allow for more users. It could be because the Apple-owned company has additional resources. Or perhaps because Apple has been inundated by requests from developers to increase the limits. Neither Apple nor TestFlight have commented on the matter.

TestFlight’s news comes as Apple starts to roll out more services to help developers, including the beta release of an analytics tool to help track how customers find and use apps.
