Kepler

A home gas connector, Kepler sits on the wall and features a rechargeable battery for maximum utility. It has an alarm for when gas levels reach a high level and the alarm gets louder as levels become dangerous. The alarm beeps and also flashes red. When not in use, the display shows the time. It’s portable and can be used in any room in the house. Since cooking leads to many gas leaks, Kepler also has a built-in timer to make food preparation safer. Kepler also sends alerts to your smartphone using an accompanying app.

Thus far, Kepler has raised 150 percent of its $30,000CAD goal with the help of over 500 backers. Kepler’s appeal comes from its all-inclusive design. Many gas/carbon monoxide detectors exist, but not all have as many features as Kepler does. Kepler’s smart and stylish design make it a perfect addition to any home safety system.

FlyShark

Flyshark is a Bluetooth keyboard compatible with iOS, Android, and Windows 8 platforms that keeps a slim profile when folded. When unfolded, each full-size key of the Flyshark retains that clicky and tactile experience people expect when they type on a physical keyboard, with a life of an estimated five million button presses per key.

With $21,000 raised of a $30,000 goal and over two weeks left to go, FlyShark is slated to meet or even exceed its goal. Although foldable Bluetooth keyboards are nothing new, Flyshark’s blend of minimalism and materials looks like a strong alternative to what’s out there. Its size and aluminum alloy construction come together in a slim design that will certainly attract those hankering for a comfortable typing solution on the go without having to entertain novel ways to type. Travelers, businesspeople and students will have their eye on this one.

Business cards are a great way to get people to remember you. The only problem is that most only contain little information. With the swivelCard, a combination business card and USB, it’s possible to show people not only your contact information, but also photos, videos and presentations. The flat swivelCard folds into a lightweight USB drive.
