Apple plans to introduce one previously rumored black colorway for its expected iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus, but the company also plans to offer a new glossy “piano black” shade, according to a report that cites a note from trusted analyst Ming-Chi Kuo of KGI. The information is emerging just four days before Apple officially unveils the smartphones at an event in San Francisco.
The new piano black will replace the space gray shade that Apple has offered for several years, 9to5Mac reported. Earlier rumors had Apple replacing space gray with a deep blue color, but today’s report does not say anything about deep blue. Black is not exactly new for the iPhone, but it has not been a choice since the iPhone 5 that came out in 2012.

Storage options will be 32GB, 128GB, and 256GB, meaning that, as previously rumored, the low-end 16GB option that Apple has offered for several iPhone generations is going away.
Both of the rear cameras on the iPhone 7 Plus will be 12 megapixels, one a wide-angle lens and the other a telephoto lens.

The new phones will be waterproof for submersion of up to 1 meter for as long as 30 minutes, and their packaging will contain Lightning EarPods and a Lightning-to-headphone-jack adapter, as the headphone jack will in fact be gone, Kuo wrote in the note, according to 9to5Mac.
At this week’s event, Apple will also likely announce the launch of iOS 10, macOS, tvOS 10, and watchOS 3 for everyone, and the company could also show off a new Apple Watch. Apple is also close to releasing a new MacBook Pro, but Bloomberg reported that it could be launched “as soon as October,” rather than in September.
