Justin Hibbard, of Business Week, points us to a stealthy start-up called Machine Phase Systems, a ten-month Los Altos company founded by Michael Tanne, who previously founded software company Xdegrees, and co-founded AdForce, an Internet ad management company sold to CMGI. Hibbard says Machine Phase Systems raised $6.2 million from investors Greylock, PayPal founder Peter Thiel and others.

In case you’re interested in sleuthing this, here’s the Web site of Machine Phase Systems, which will send you on a little hunting mission, saying that you can get tips from the wiki site of Neal Stephenson, a science fiction writer in the “postcyberpunk genre,” who works part-time as an advisor for Jeff Bezos’ Blue Origin, the company developing a manned suborbital launch system.

Anyway, MPS’s Web site says it will help people find and share information, and that more information will eventually show up at eBagle.
