Twitch and Microsoft have released an update that will enable players to sift through game stats to find the best players on the Xbox One console. Those features will enable spectators to find exactly who they want to watch and learn from.

Twitch is a livestreaming service, which enables you to watch somebody else who is broadcasting their live gameplay. It’s popular because players want to learn how to play games by watching the best competitors in live matches. Twitch debuted on the Xbox One earlier this year, but the new features will make it more useful, said Larry “Major Nelson” Hyrb in a walkthrough video from Microsoft.

The advanced filtering feature lets you focus in on what you want to watch for a specific game. Using Xbox Live’s real-time game stats, you can apply filters to find someone who has the best kill/death ratio on Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare. The filters can sift through player stats, game modes, games, maps, player skill level, in-game activity, progress, and more.

You can also instantly queue up a Halo match from whoever has the highest rank in Slayer mode. Or you can find Forza Horizon 2 players who are driving a specific class of car.

“This is just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to the Twitch on Xbox One app’s broad array of new search options, which unleashes a whole new level of innovation and community-building potential,” Hyrb said in a blog post. “This new Twitch experience also helps up-and-coming broadcasters find audiences. After all, if you’re one of the best players of a game yet you’re brand new to Twitch, you could quickly attract attention as viewers filter by skill.”

Xbox One will also enable you to view Twitch videos on demand. You’ll see highlights and past broadcasts to watch at any time, even when a broadcaster is offline.

The Home screen has also been overhauled to provide a more personalized experience. You can follow specific games or specific channels, which then pop up right on your Home screen. Broadcasters can also create new profile pages so fans can learn more about them.

“Xbox One helped cement Twitch’s place in the living room with its robust set of features,” said Annie Berrones, the director of product marketing at Twitch, in a statement. “With this impressive set of updates, including the ability to now follow the games you want, view archived videos, and have access to more advanced directories, video game streaming and spectating as part of the home entertainment experience is only going to get stronger.”
