Twitter & Google reportedly strike deal to include tweets in search results. Again.

Twitter has reportedly struck a deal to once again make its tweets searchable on Google.

According to Bloomberg, tweets will start showing up in Google search results sometime during the first half of 2015. According to the report, Google will have access to Twitter’s “firehose” of a half-billion daily tweets. Currently, Google has to crawl Twitter to include information from the micro-blogging service.

Google did not immediately respond to a VentureBeat request for confirmation. Twitter declined to comment.

Twitter, of course, will announce its fourth quarter earnings tomorrow. It’s safe to say the timing of the leak is convenient for Twitter, which earlier today also announced a new ads partnership with Yahoo Japan and Flipboard.

This isn’t the first time, of course, that tweets have been included in Google’s search results. The two companies struck their initial search results deal in 2009. That deal expired in 2011, leading Twitter to cozy up to Microsoft and its Bing search engine.

Now, it seems, Google users will be able to yet again see real-time results, in the form of tweets, mixed in with Google’s traditional search service.
